Postage & Packaging Rates
At The Lantern Warehouse we endeavour to keep Postage & Packaging costs to a minimum for our customers, but depending on the nature of the items ordered there are different ways of shipping items (i.e. Large or Heavy Lanterns may require a pallet for transportation).
Please note the shopping carts estimation is only a guide, in some cases there may be other services available at lower costs.
If for any reason, you think the shopping cart has estimated your order's Postage & Packaging incorrectly continue with the order process and contact us immediately and we will check the cost of the P&P.
Delivery can be to any address as long as the address at which your payment card is registered is also present on your order. Please make sure you keep the receipt enclosed with your goods.
When you add products to your Shopping Basket, the appropriate delivery charge will be added automatically. You will always be able to see this charge before submitting your order.
All delivery timescales are subject to product and delivery slot availability. Small parcels may be delivered via Royal Mail. Delivery is next working day subject to availability. However, delivery may take up to five working days.
Delivery will be between the hours of 8am and 6pm; we are unable to confirm a time.
The Lantern Warehouse will select the most appropriate carrier for your goods. This means your delivery may arrive in more than one batch to ensure your order is transported in the best possible way.
Whilst every reasonable effort shall be made to keep to any delivery date, time of delivery shall not be of the essence and The Lantern Warehouse shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the customer or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date. The risk in the goods shall pass from the company to the customer upon delivery of such goods to the customer.
You will only pay one delivery charge per order, which will be the highest depending on the contents of your order and your chosen delivery service. When you have added items to your shopping basket, the standard delivery charge for those products will be automatically applied to your order.
If you need to return a product purchased from The Lantern Warehouse then you have 28 working days to do so. The returned goods must be in a resalable state and any goods or accessories that accompany the returned product must also come back to us. The goods should also be returned with their original box, packing and accessories.
If the return is due to customer error there will be a charge of 10%
If the return is due to faulty or damaged goods a replacement product will be provided or credit
Returns are always at the expense of the customer
Damages & Insurance
When receiving an order, you must check if the items are OK, if this is not possible, you must sign for the item as “received, condition unknown”. If there is visible damage to the order, you may refuse the delivery and send it back.
Please note the items below that are not insured and are at the cost of the customer if damaged.

- Ceramic Goods -Tiles etc
- Pottery, Earthenware etc
- Second Hand vehicle parts
- Vehicle body panels - new or old
- Old Vehicle Radiators (new boxed radiators are carried and insured)
- Fax machines/printers/photocopiers containing ink or ink-like substances
- Perishable items (excluding meat, which is banned)

We try to do our bit to help the environment by recycling all our packaging. This means that your goods may not be packed in a brand new box every time, but we will ensure that all of our packaging is clean and fit for re-use.
